We Lost Our Cat

It's been a very tough week.  A week ago today we lost our Marbles.  He ran out the door about 7:30 at night and we never saw him again.  We've searched the neighborhoods each day, put signs up all over, talked to neighbors and prayed a lot.  We miss him so much and our family just isn't the same without him.  We are still hoping he will come home as we have read many stories of a lost cat's miraculous return.  In honor of Marbles, I am posting a few of our favorite photos.

  3. Marbles is so beautiful, photogenic and seems to enjoy having his picture taken. He has gorgeous eyes too. I'm keeping good thoughts that he comes home soon. My aunt & uncle had a cat (Penny) when I was a kid and Penny vanished. Nine months later my aunt was coming home from work and saw Penny walking on the side of the road. She put Penny in the car and took her home, then to the vet for a check up. Penny had a few minor things going on that had to be taken care of but other than that she did very well.

  4. I'm surprised he left, he looks simply spoiled. I have a feeling he'll be back. Be patient. May the force be with you!

  5. I'm so sorry about your kitty. We have been in this same situation. Ours came back after two weeks. We had given up any hope of him returning... but they are smart and tough little creatures. Hoping he shows up soon.

  6. I'm so sorry to hear that, I had a scare of my cat going missing for several days and I was beside myself since I was moving out of state the next two weeks. Something that helped me was searching for him during the night. I'm not sure about the area you live in (woodsy city, etc) but going out at night and using a flashlight helped because you can sweep it big distances and it will catch the glow of their eyes (much easier than during the day for me). We initially started looking low, under bushes and cars like people told us to, but our cat was actually sitting up high in the upper floors of the apartment complex. He's completely an indoor cat so he was too scared to stray far. Hope this helps and I wish you a happy ending.

  7. Oh, what a beautiful cat. My heart aches for you and your family. I hope Marbles comes home! One of my cats used to run away for days at a time, but she always came home. I hope that is the case with Marbles.

  11. I love cats! Had two calicoes and both went out and never came back, but I also had a Maine Coon and she used to take off for two weeks at a time, not often, maybe when it was mating time, but she always returned. Give it a little time.
