I saw this idea on Pintrest and thought I would make my own!  I found this country checker board at a garage sale for 50 cents.  It sure beat waiting for hubby to cut wood for me!!
I sanded it, primed it & spray painted it yellow.  I cut the vinyl on the cricut and added some scrapbook paper to the clothespins.  I used epoxy to adhere the clothespins to the board.  Added a little fabric to the bottom & drilled in a decorative knob.  I love it!  Now maybe I can keep all the socks together!

Sleeping Beauty Dress

Sally got to wear her Sleeping Beauty Peasant dress today - she looked very Princess-y!  I can't wait to get started on more princess-inspired dresses!!

Strippy Quilt Quilted!

Just finished quilting the Strippy Quilt.  I was going to do straight line stitching - but I decided to just stipple the whole thing instead.  I think I like it better that way - otherwise it might have felt too linear - this way it feels super cozy!

Skinny Strips Quilt

I love this Skinny Strips Quilt.  You can download the pattern for free HERE.

I found this version on Pinterest from Steph's Stuff. - I love her colors and her quilting.

This is my quilt top.  I just finished piecing it together.  It is from Moda's Fandango line.  Today I am quilting it.  I think I will use straight line quilting like in the example above.

This is how fun it is to sew with a Bengal cat.  As soon as anything goes on the floor - he's in it.  I have to lock him in a room while I pin baste a quilt!  The videos are pretty funny too!

Girl's Camp T-Shirts

The First Year Girls going to camp got together and we made these shirts. The theme is Arise & Shine. We are using sunshine to represent the 1st year girls. The girls drew the shapes on Heat Bond, then ironed it to the fabric, cut it out, and ironed it on their shirts. I sewed around all the shapes with grey thread. Then we stenciled the word Shine in grey paint! Cute!

More Pyrex!

I found these two darlings at the Goodwill. My Pyrex collection is comming right along. I love the size of these bowls - I have used them a ton since buying them on Monday! I can't wait for my next find!!

Snow White Peasant Dress

I saw this idea on Pinterest - Disney Princess inspired peasant dresses. I almost could not sleep until I tried one. We put on the Snow White movie and my little princess and I watched it and sewed this Snow White Peasant Dress. It turned out cute - usually I like to make a test dress, but I just went for it on this one. I used the Simplicity 5695 pattern. I made the size 5 - next time I think I will make the size 6.

She has been wearing these red glasses all day - we even went to a restaurant with them on!

Retro Cupcake Apron

Judy, from Sprizzie, and I shared some cupcake making ideas last night at our Relief Society meeting. Of course we NEEDED matching cupcake aprons for the presentation! This is what I came up with. It is the Simplicity 3949 pattern.

I added ric rac and the ruffle to cute it up! I love the fabric & the colors - it's so retro feeling. It's my new favorite apron!

Easter Skirts & Ties

The Easter skirts and ties were super cute. I loved that the girls skirts were out of the same fabric but each were different patterns.

Bunny Jars

Instead of packing for our camping trip, I have been obsessing about these:
Yesterday I saw this tutorial for Bunny Jars from Torie Jayne. For the past 24 hours all I could think about was making the jars. I went through all the children's toy animals only to find not one bunny. (If I want to make dinosaur jars sometime, I am set!) I went to a few stores keeping my eyes open. Finally at Pier One I found these porcelain bunny ornaments - they were the closest thing so I bought them.

Last night I cut off the hangers (which I wish they didn't have) and epoxied them to my jars. (I save every jar I come across. I even emptied out a bottle or pickle relish because I liked the jar!)

This morning I got out the spray paint. I first primed them then painted them what ever colors I had on hand. I filled them with paper grass (which was also hard to find this late in the season) and then put the malted milk eggs in. I think they are cute.
Now I can start packing for our camping trip!!!

Bunny Silhouette Art

I made this cute bunny picture today. It's been a while since I spray painted anything so I was looking around my house and found this frame I picked up at a garage sale for $1.

Then went through the scrapbook paper and found this paper. I went through my spray paint collection and found a color that matched. I glued the paper to a matte and then cut the opening with a paper crafting knife. I tore a page out of Charlotte Bronte's, Villette (I read it and didn't like it so the 500+ pages are perfect for crafting!) Then I googled bunny silhouette and cut it on the Cricut. Easy peasy!

It sits in my kitchen window! Happy Easter to me!!

I am in Love

I found this little beauty at an Estate Sale this weekend. $1. I am in love!
