Old Radio Re-Do

I bought this old fashioned radio/turntable thing at a garage sale. (can you just see my husband rolling his eyes at me when I told him to get the truck and come with me!) When I saw it I loved it. Well - not the finish - it was super shiny - this photo doesn't even show how much it shined.
I didn't really need the turntable aspect of it although it would have been cool to restore it. I do need storage. I knew this was a project for me. We took the insides out and made it into three sections for storage. Then we stripped it, sanded it, and stained it. I love it! I've already got it full. I keep table linens, candles and other items I use in the dining room - I love it.

Sunglasses Case

I made these sunglasses cases for gifts. I found the pattern HERE and then just added a ruffle and flower. I love how they turned out. They are lined with fleece or minkey. I gave them all away and now all my sunglasses are scratched. I must make more!

Strawberry Basket Quilt

Here is my "Strawberry Basket" quilt.  The best test of a quilt is if the kitty chooses to nap here.  Marbles loves it!!

The quilted strawberries turned out cute - I just kind of experimented with them.

I bound it in red and white gingham cut on the bias. The back is red and white gingham as well.

Easter Birds

I got this darling bird pattern HERE from the Sewn Spaces book. You can download the pattern for free. I sewed at least 10 of them for Easter.
